Event: Developing as a Professional: Attaining a Library Association of Ireland (LAI) Award

Cost: This event is free of charge but booking is recommended.

Who Should Attend: Librarians interested in developing their career & current students on postgraduate library programmes and those interested in mentoring applicants for the ALAI/FLAI.
Description: This half-day seminar will provide an insight into the awards of Associateship of the Library Association of Ireland (ALAI) and Fellowship of the Library Association of Ireland (FLAI). Past recipients of the awards will share their experiences and give insights into the preparation of a portfolio and other aspects of the process. The mentoring scheme available to applicants will be outlined and there will also be an opportunity for mentors and those who have an interest in mentoring, to learn about best practice in mentoring.

This event is certified by the Library Association of Ireland.
